# Config<no value>

The `please config` command opens an interactive configuration menu to tweak the behavior of `please`.

```bash
please config
```

### Options

Currently, the primary configuration option available is the **Feedback loop**.

#### Feedback loop

When the feedback loop is enabled, `please` will pause and ask for your explicit `[y/N]` confirmation before executing major or destructive tasks.
- In `please commit`, you will be prompted to review the generated commit message.
- In `please push`, you will be prompted before pushing to the remote branch.
- In agent commands (like `please chat`), every mutating action already asks for confirmation by default, feedback loop or not, see [Agent Mode](../agent-mode). With it enabled, the agent also confirms its read only calls (`git status`, `please log`, and the like), for when you want visibility into everything it does, not just what it changes.

You can also trigger the feedback loop on a one-off basis by appending `--feedback` or `-f` to any command, even if the persistent setting is disabled.

```bash
please commit -f
```
